CG Cross Country League in KwaThema
CGA Cross Country powered by MTN Foundation 5th league will be going to Delta Park in Randburg, 23 June 2018.
KwaThema – Ulinda Athletics hosted the CGA Cross Country League at the KwaThema Sports Complex on Saturday morning.
After a week of chilly weather, the event was blessed with loads of sunshine and the athletes would not have it any other way.

“The league is the MTN sponsored event for Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA).
“It consists of eight league events and the KwaThema league was the fourth in the series.

“Ulinda Athletics Club was entrusted by CGA to host the league,” explains Joyce Legadima of Ulinda.
The race accommodates all categories of runners, from juniors to grandmasters, in races ranging from 1km to 10km.
The runners came from all over Gauteng.

“The winners’ results for each category will be made available by CGA by next week.
“The runners expressed gratitude to the organising team for the manner in which the event was organised.

“The KwaThema Sports Complex was an ideal venue and proved to be a tough course that tested the mettle of the runners.
“The venue also received a thumbs up from CGA as it met the standard for cross-country meetings.
“It was humbling to see a number of community members coming to watch and join the cheering crowd,” said Legadima.
