Murder in Everest

Three friends' game of boasting to each other about the expensive clothes that they were wearing resulted to one loosing his life.

It was Friday afternoon when two friends (both 22) in a tavern in Everest were wearing expensive clothes and started to boast to each other about the value of their clothes.

Springs police spokesman, Captain Johannes Ramphora says the situation turned sour when a third friend joined the game and tore off one of the friends’ T-shirts and left to another nearby tavern.

He says it is alleged that when the victim left the scene after losing his T-shirt he went home to fetch a knife that he used to stab his friend in the chest.

“The suspect haunted his victim until he found him in one of the taverns and stabbed him to death,” says Capt Ramphora.

He says when the police arrived on the scene the body was lying in a pool of blood and the suspect was arrested.

The suspect will appear soon in the Springs Magistrate Court facing a case of murder.
