Bank staff helps reduce crime

Fighting crime during the festive season in Kwatsaduza was not only the police officers' responsibility but bank managers also played their part.

According to Tsakane police spokesman Captain Petros Mabuza, the bank managers and staff in Kwatsaduza’s shopping malls helped reduce crime such as armed robberies that saw many stokvel and society members being the victims of.

He says the staff ensured the security of the members when visiting the banks to withdraw large amounts of cash. He continues to say the bank managers informed the police about each withdrawal and they were always available to escort the members to a nearby police station and provided them with a safe place to share their money.

The police also thanks the CPF Sub Forum, patrollers and the community of Tsakane for fighting crime together.
