
Jerry Padi was born in Payneville and grew up in KwaThema.
He started his teaching career in 1974 in Vosloorus before returning home to join Fred Habedi Primary School.
He began as a mathematics and English teacher at the school.
During that time he continued to uplift the community through his dedication to education.
In 1995 he was appointed as the principal of the school.
Jerry was also actively involved in the AME Church, participating in various charity projects.
He was part of the blanket drive in KwaThema, together with Phakamani Burial Club.
He is survived by his wife, children, mother, grandchildren and siblings.
The funeral will be tomorrow and will start at 7am at the A.M.E Church in KwaThema.
