Woman facing a charge of theft

A man has laid a charge of theft against his girlfriend after he found her in his home when he woke on Saturday morning.

She claimed she was there to collect her belongings.

Captain Johannes Ramphora of the Springs police says the incident took place in the Daggafontein informal settlement.

He says according to the information given by the victim, he was about to get ready to go to work when his lover barged into his home.

He says the victim left home for work leaving his girlfriend in his shack.

Ramphora says the man says on his way to work he noticed he had left his ID book at home and went back to fetch it.

“After not finding the ID the victim says he left again for work and when he came back his ID was still nowhere to be found,” says Ramphora.

Adding that the victim says he noticed that not only his ID book had disappeared but a pair of shoes was also missing.

The victim later opened a case of theft against his girlfriend.

The police are looking for the suspect for questioning.
