Four arrested for impersonation

Four suspects, who pretended to be health inspectors, were arrested in Tsakane.

According to Tsakane police spokesman Captain Petros Mabuza, the two female suspects are between the ages of 22 and 25 while the two males are estimated to be 27 years old.

He says the suspects were arrested on Friday at Tsakane Extension Nine when they were inspecting the taverns around Kwatsaduza, pretending to be health inspectors.

“Health department papers were found in their possession,” says Mabuza.

He added that the police also discovered that the car that the suspects used was hijacked in Crystal Park.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court facing charges for impersonation, fraud and possession of a hijacked motor vehicle.
