Raising funds for the disadvantaged
The Accounting and Science Scholastics will raise funds for disadvantaged learners.
Accounting and Science Scholastics, a programme that offers academic support in mathematics, accounting and physical science, understands the importance of education.
This year about 45 learners are registered in this programme. According to Ntsane Masiloane, project manager, all the funds to be raised will help meet the academic needs of the learners who come from the disadvantaged families.
“The money raised will be used to buy text books to ensure that learners from poor families also get the opportunity to study in order to better their lives and that of their families in the future,” says Masiloane.
He believes that education is the one key that opens most of the locked doors.
The second annual fundraising event will be held at the Springs Civic Centre on May 2 from 3pm until 6pm.
Anga Makubalo, known as MJ from Generations, will be entertaining the crowd. For more information, call Ntsane Masiloane on 076 889 6002.
