Police welcome community’s views
KwaThema police invite the community to write down their suggestions about how the police can improve their work.
The suggestion box is at the police station’s client service centre where the community members can drop off their suggestion letters concerning the services rendered at the station or the treatment that they get from the police.
Station commander, Colonel Berry Mashaba says they hope that the suggestion box will help them communicate better with the community.
“We understand that sometimes the community do not feel comfortable to voice out their views,” says Mashaba.
Adding that he believes that this way of communication will also help in a fight against crime in the township.
Community member Mandla Hlatshwayo says the suggestion box will also play an important role in giving the tips to the police about the criminal activities happening in their area.
“I believe that the suggestion box is one step towards building a better relationship between the the police and the community,” says Hlatshwayo.
