‘Every Child Matters’: Hope of Grace Ministry hosts Missing Children Awareness Campaign in Tsakani
The Hope of Grace Ministry Sunday School took to the streets of Tsakani to raise awareness about missing children, urging communities to play an active role in protecting young people and reporting suspicious activities.
Tsakani – The Hope of Grace Ministry Sunday School successfully hosted an Awareness Campaign Against Missing Children on June 6.
The campaign formed part of the Ministry’s 2025/2026 Calendar of Programmes and aimed to raise awareness of the growing concern about missing children and the importance of community involvement in protecting them.
The awareness campaign was held under the theme, Every Child Matters. Don’t Look Away.
The campaign commenced at Mponeng Park. Participants marched along Zulu Street, then turned onto Malandela Street and proceeded to Tsakane Mall.
“We shared awareness messages and engaged with community members on the importance of child safety and the prevention of child disappearances.

“The campaign was motivated by the growing concern over cases of missing children in KwaTsaDuza and across South Africa.
“Through this initiative, the Ministry sought to raise awareness about the dangers faced by children, encourage community members to report suspicious activities, and promote collective responsibility in safeguarding children,” said the Ministry’s secretary general, Mlungisi Ntuli.
The campaign also called upon parents, guardians, educators, faith-based organisations, and community members to work together in creating a safer environment for children.
Ntuli emphasised that the Ministry believes that awareness, vigilance, and community involvement are essential in helping to prevent child disappearances and ensuring that every child remains safe.
“The campaign further highlighted the importance of giving urgent attention to missing children cases and supporting efforts aimed at reuniting children with their families,” Ntuli added.

The event was well received by the community and is regarded as a success.
The Ministry successfully delivered its message to residents, creating awareness and encouraging meaningful conversations about child safety and protection.
Community members responded positively to the campaign, demonstrating support for the cause and its objectives.
Ntuli added that the church extends its sincere appreciation to the Sunday School leadership, learners, parents, church members, community stakeholders, and all residents who supported the campaign.
“The Ministry remains committed to using its programmes to address social challenges while promoting the wellbeing, safety, and protection of children,” concluded Ntuli.
