The musician who comes from KwaThema, brought his friends from the entertainment industry, including musician Tshepo Tshola and presenter Masechaba Lekalake to share the day with the children.
The stars spent the day at the home in Extension Seven Langaville, entertaining, cooking and giving blankets, planting seeds and equipment as well as toys.
Joe said the event was part of an ongoing initiative driven by the team from Killa Joe Records and the Joe Nina Foundation.
The group started work days before Joe’s birthday by fitting a new ceiling in the house.
He said the foundation has assisted with various donations in the past but the donations were not constant.
However, it was while working on their new album, Back together for life that a decision was taken to adopt a home.
Thuli Nhlapho from Lord is My Provider said while eight of the children live with them, they cater for 50 children, providing them with three meals daily.
She said the new ceiling has made their home warmer, while the donations have also come during the dry season for donations, which are more available in December.
