Brian Wells Foundation performs in Geluksdal

This took place at the Geluksdal Library despite sponsors pulling out.

The foundation offers training in visual arts, poetry, writing, drama, singing and dance.

Founder of the foundation, author Brian Wells says, the organisation began in 2008 when he discovered social issues in their area, one being substance abuse.

The youngsters performed a drama play which depicted a story of an alcoholic father who is irresponsible.

Wells says the parents of the youngsters are very supportive as they realise the project is aimed at improving the lives of their children.

The foundation gave youngsters T-shirts on Saturday so they can be identified as young leaders in the community.
