Christmas presents for children

Christmas came early for more than 200 children at Sithandizingane Care Project in Witkpooi near KwaThema.

The day, that was filled with laughter and smiles on the faces of children, was made possible by the staff members of the SA Express.

After realising that many children in that centre are in need of shoes and Christmas presents, the staff members decided to dig deep into their pockets to ensure that the children at the centre also enjoy Christmas.

Speaking on behalf of the centre, board member, Swabi Gama thanked the company for the love and care that they have shown to the children at the centre.

“I understand that you have your own children who you need to look after them, but you decided to make the children at our centre happy,” said Gama.

She then encouraged the children to study hard to build their brighter future.

Inati Ntshanga, SA Express CEO, explained that the presents and shoes handover forms part of the company’s giving back to the community that was started by the employees as part of giving back in the spirit of Mandela Day.

He promised that the relationship that his company has with the centre will continue to grow bigger and stronger.

Thapelo Mbuli, one of the recipients, thanked the company for the presents.

“It makes us happy to know that there are people who still care and love children,” said Thapelo.
