The arrest took place at around 3.30pm at the woman’s home.
KwaThema police spokesman Capt Mandla Phori says the victim, while at home with the suspect, realised his bank card was missing.
Phori says according to information provided by the victim, the man asked the woman if she knew where his bank card might be, and she denied having seen it.
The woman, however, was later found in possession of the bank card and allegedly admitted to stealing it.
“An amount of R2 500 was withdrawn from the victim’s bank account,” says Phori.
He adds that the woman was then arrested and charged with theft.
