This comes after the SAPS followed up on information received about a house robbery in Bakerton on Wednesday, May 20.
The 32-year-old woman was awakened by three men in her house along Osprey Street at 3am.
Two of the robbers were armed with a knife and an axe, and tied the woman up with a pillowcase.
They took two cellphones, a flat screen TV, jewellery, blankets and shoes.
Police arrested a 35-year-old man shortly afterwards, and he led officers to an address in Gugulethu.
Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora say police arrested a 24-year-old man at this address.
The pair were charged for house robbery and possession of suspected stolen goods.
Two suitcases of suspected stolen items, as well as a hammer, handcuffs, four cellphones, a laptop, flat screen TV and a portable TV were found in the 35-year-old’s possession.
Raphora says they are still investigating whether any of the items were stolen during the Bakerton house robbery.
The two men will appear in court soon.
