Company makes a difference to school learners
Tsakane - Lonmin donated brand new school uniforms to about 33 learners from Sizuzile Primary School on Saturday.
The event was held at the school in the presence of the recipients’ parents.
School principal Somahle Mavi thanked the company for ensuring the learners keep warm this winter.
“The donation will help them feel confident like the children from other families,” says Mavi.
The learners were encouraged to study hard to build their futures.
“Education is the key which will open all the doors to your brighter future,” says Mavi.
She then thanked Lonmin for their support, and wished for a long relationship between the school and the company.
Speaking on behalf of Lonmin, Ghana Kukane says the donation is a way to encourage learners to take their education seriously.
He says the company saw the need to help some learners and put smiles on their faces.
Kukane promises the company will continue to support the school.
