The incident took place at an address in Baduza Street at around 7.30am.
KwaThema police spokesman Capt Mandla Phori says a man, who was waiting for the workshop to open, claims he saw two men jumping over the workshop’s fence.
The man further claims the men broke into the workshop’s office and he saw them leave with two car batteries.
The thieves, both aged 23, were later arrested and face a charge of business break-in.
They are expected to appear in the KwaThema Magistrate Court soon.
