Farewell Mam Ranthla

Duduza - Sizakele Joy Ranthla (58) from Duduza died on August 13 after a short illness.

She was affectionately known in the community as Mam Ranthla.

She was born in Chatterston, Nigel on June 6, 1958, as the fourth child of Amos and Smangele Zwane.

Sizakele married Kgopiane Ranthla and moved to Lopeng Street, Duduza, in 1975.

Known to have been a humble and supporting mother, she will be greatly missed for the undisputed role she played in uniting divided families through prayer and also praying for the sick.

Solly Ranthla (40), the oldest of Ranthla’s four children, says his mother was a diabetic and therefore extremely conscious about a healthy lifestyle.

She was always surrounded by children whom she loved dearly.

She will sadly be missed by her mother-in-law Ivy Mogudi (82), her four sisters Busisiwe Rakosa (62), Ziningini Motjowadi (60), Duduzile Zwane (45) and Mapaseja Mapaseka (60), her three sons Solly, Lebogang Ranthla (32) and Thabiso Ranthla (28), daughter Mamotlatsi Ranthla (38) and her nine grandchildren.

The funeral will take place on Saturday from 8am to 11am, at Monti Motloung hall, Ndudula Street, Duduza and the procession will proceed to the Nigel Cemetery.
