Local learners wins maths challenge
Geluksdal - Grade three learner Abahle Madela (9) from Geluksdal Primary School placed first in the Gauteng East District Mental Maths Challenge (cluster level) last Friday.
The ten minute challenge tests the speed and accuracy of learners in mathematics and questions also include operation sciences.
Class teacher Sibongile Radebe (42) says Abahle is an excellent student who excels in all his learning areas and shows commitment in his work.
“I’m very proud of Abahle and his achievement in the maths challenge, I want him to continue to do well in his academic career,” says Radebe.
The grade three learner wants to be South Africa’s president when he grows up.
He will be representing the cluster in the district level of the challenge soon.
