Kuso helps young woman pursue her dream
KwaThema - The Kutlwano Social Organisation (Kuso) put a smile on the face of a 20-year-old student who is eager to get an education to better her life.
The organisation donated R15 000 to Tsakane resident Lerato Malaza.
Lerato received R7 500 from the organisation at the beginning of the year to register for an aviation course, and received the balance at the Kuso clubhouse in KwaThema on Saturday.
Lerato passed matric in 2013 and her parents were unable to pay for her to further her education.
The situation forced her to stay at home and forget about her dream of studying.
Things changed last year, however, when Lerato approached Kuso for help.
They assisted her with the money needed in order to register and study a six-week aviation course.
Kuso chairman Dali Mofokeng says they saw the need to help Lerato after realising she was eager to learn and proved to be hard worker.
He says the organisation understands the importance of education and will continue to support those who want to change the world for the best.
“Coming from a family that could not afford to pay for my studies did not stand in my way of studying further,” says Lerato.
She thanks Kuso for granting her the opportunity which will help change her life and that of her family.
