He was 48 years old.
Mgijima was born on November 22, 1966, in Springs.
He was the first-born son of Nomalizo and Velile Mgijima.
At an early age, he moved to Alice in the Eastern Cape to live with his grandfather.
He started his primary school education at Ely Primary School and later moved to Gobizembe Senior Secondary School.
Mgijima matriculated at Etwatwa Secondary School in Daveyton.
He worked as a security guard at Isidingo Technical College in Daveyton, now known as Ekurhuleni East College, for a short period of time and was later employed as a general worker at the same institute .
He was still employed at the college at the time of his death.
Mgijima is survived by his mother, Nomalizo, his only daughter, Nomkhitha Mgijima , four sisters and a brother.
The funeral service will be held at 7am tomorrow (Saturday) in the auditorium at the Ekurhuleni East College in Daveyton.
The cortège will leave for the Crystal Park Cemetery at 9am.
