According to police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora, Mofokeng was arrested on December 1, 2012 after he had taken the disabled child (age unknown) of his late girlfriend and she the child returned home beaten up.
“On November 8, 2012 at about 3pm Mofokeng took the child of his late girlfriend from her home.
“The child then went back home after three days, saying that Mofokeng had hit her on the head with a steel pipe when they arrived at his home.
“After his appearance at the Nigel Court on March 15, Mofokeng was sentenced to 12 months behind bars,” says Ramphora.
