  • Local Lifestyle will host the Mbalizethu & Friends event at 13194 Lentle Street, Rest in Peace, Springs. The event will feature live performances by Mbalizethu, Bobo Jay, Nzima and Ntunja. The event will start at 14:00 and continue until late. Tickets are also available at Local Lifestyle. For tickets, contact 065 614 1270 or 082 607 9724.
  • Kaizer Chiefs Kwa-Thema Branch will hold its branch meeting at 50 Majola Street, Kwa-Thema. The meeting will start at 11:00 and is open to all members. For more information, contact Itu on 083 376 8563 or Daddy on 073 062 8983.

October 31

  • Kwa-Thema Med, in partnership with Kwa-Thema Striders AC, will host a 5KM Cancer Awareness Walk/Run at 43 Majola Street, Kwa-Thema. The event will start at 08:00 and is open to all ages. The first 100 people to register will receive gift bags. The event will include cancer awareness information, basic health screenings, educational talks, fitness and wellness activities, and the distribution of educational material.   • Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00 and calls on all vendors to apply to participate. Send your name, ID number and the name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.
  • The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park. It runs from 08:00 to 13:00.
