Assisting those in need

KwaThema – The Khuthole team showed up at the Kopano Disability Centre, recently, to donate clothes, clean and cook.

According to Khuthole’s Bonginkosi Sithole, the centre, situated in KwaThema Extension Three, has been in existence since 1996.

It has, however, been neglected when it comes to development and assistance, he says.

“For this reason we have been helping the organisation with administration, among other things, since the beginning on the year.

“We also took things a step further, by donating clothing to them, since it’s winter.

“A local supermarket joined forces with us, to donate 10 blankets to the organisation.”

Sithole adds that challenges faced by the organisation include transportation to attend meetings and picking up beneficiaries, proper structure, fire extinguishers, office equipment and first aid kits.

Any parents who have children living with a disability, or members of the community, can contact the centre to become a part of the organisation.
