Filling empty stomachs

KwaThema – Less fortunate learners of Lefa-Ifa Secondary School received a warm meal and a donation of school uniforms last Friday.

This was after Uthando Lwenkosi Home-Based Care staff, who help the children, received a donation of R18 000 from a local bank.

“We took this money and used it to buy food and school essentials for the children.

“Thank you to the people at this institution who assisted in making this possible. We truly appreciate it as it makes a huge and positive difference in the lives of these children.

“We also thank Gram van Brendan from a garage in Fifth Avenue, Springs, who has been assisting with a cash donation monthly since 2014,” says Bishop Nomvula Ximba.

She also thanks the local supermarket which has continuously donated bread rolls to help feed the learners.

“We are very happy as this donation will go a long way in ensuring that these children are fed.

“With the remaining money, we will continue providing more learners with warm meals,” she says.
