Tsakane Mall robbers arrested

Tsakane - Three men, aged 28, 37 and 39, have been arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen cellphones.

Tsakane police spokeswoman, Sgt Lerato Mgomezulu, says police officers, Sgt Mapule Khoza and Sgt John Maseko, who were patrolling at the Tsakane Mall were stopped by a man.

“He reported he was robbed of his cellphone.

“The police search the mall and the complainant was able to identify the suspect.

“The suspect tried to flee in a vehicle with other two males and the police got into their vehicle and chased them,” she says.

Mngomezulu says the vehicle was finally found and the complainant’s cellphone recovered.

“The police also recovered other three cellphones, four fake cellphones, three phone and three cellphone pouches,” she says.
