Tsakani – EMPD Community Liaison Unit officers arrested a 28-year-old man on September 22 on a warrant of arrest.

According to the EMPD, officers received intelligence regarding the whereabouts of a wanted suspect.

The information was operationalised, resulting in officers tracing the suspect to a location in Tsakani, where he was subsequently apprehended.

The suspect was wanted for failing to appear before court in connection with five cases, including malicious damage to property, two robberies, possession of stolen property, attempted murder and murder.

He was arrested and detained at the Tembisa Police Station, where the cases are registered, and is expected to appear before the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.
