Gospel star to help raise funds

“I still miss him and the only way I know how to connect with him is through gospel.”

KwaThema – Gospel star, Thabiso ‘Royal prince’ Moloi, has released his latest 12-track album titled The Best of Thabiso.

The album was made in remembrance of his late best friend the prince of gospel, Lundi Tyamara, who passed away early this year.

Thabiso says they were working together on some of the songs before he fell sick and passed away.

“I decided to finish working on the album to honour his memory and the support that he gave me when I met him.

“I still miss him and the only way I know how to connect with him is through gospel,” he says.

The 34-year-old broke into the gospel industry in the 90s and has never looked back.

“I have worked with some of the gospel giants in the industry who helped groom my talent and opened doors for people like Lundi who later became my best friend.

“I was also a backing vocalist and dancer for Rebeccah Malope and Sechaba for over six years,” he says.

The royal prince released his first album in 2010, titled Msindisi which was followed by the second album titled Testimony, in 2012.

He has participated and held charity concerts to help raise funds for some of the disadvantaged people in his community through the ‘Help me Help them’ project.

“He will be hosting a gala dinner on Sunday to raise funds for Bethel Church to refurnish the old church in KwaThema Hall,” he says.
