Tsakane – The body of an infant was found abandoned and wrapped inside a plastic bag at Sgodi Phola along Modjadi Street next to Tsakane Mall at 9am on November 7.
It is alleged the body was found by residents who were cutting the grass in the area.
The residents immediately informed the police.
Tsakane police spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu says the police were dispatched to the area.
“We are appealing to the community to assist in finding the mother of the infant,” she says.
