51-year-old victim screams for help during house robbery in Struisbult

A house robbery took place in Struisbult at around 1.45am on Saturday.

A 51-year-old man was asleep in his bedroom when he was suddenly awoken by two unknown men who demanded money.

The suspects allegedly forced open a window to gain access to the house.

Amanda Greybe, spokesperson for the Springs SAPS, says the victim gave them R1 200.

“The suspects also took his cell phone from the side of the bed.”

The two men allegedly demanded more money, at which point the victim took them to his vehicle.

“When he saw his neighbour’s car passing by, he screamed for help.”

The suspects fled the scene.
