Tsakane – Tsakane police were able to recover a stolen vehicle after the owner was able to identify it on Tuesday afternoon.
It is alleged the police were patrolling around Extension Seven, Langaville, Tsakane when they were approached by a man who had just seen his stolen vehicle.
“The complainant pointed out the silver Toyota Corolla that was abandoned on Madalane Street, ” says the Tsakane police spokesperson, Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu.
“The vehicle had a false GP registration. Its original registration was a Swaziland one.
“When police got to the vehicle, the vehicle was left idling and no driver was in sight,” she explains.

Mngomezulu says the complainant alleges that on Saturday evening he was attacked at 26 Mampe Street, KwaThema by two men.
“The armed suspects allegedly knocked at the door. The victim opened it and was then held at gunpoint. They took the keys and his cellphone.
“The victim was also forced into the car and the suspects drove away with him until he was dropped somewhere in Ext 15, Tsakane. He was able to call for help.
“We are urging the community to be alert at all times and check carefully letting people into your home.
“Call the police if you suspect anything suspicious about the people demanding entry into your home,” she says.
