KwaThema – The body of Thomas Lebohang Mashiane (26) was found in the street opposite house E311 in Lindelani informal settlement in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
KwaThema police spokesperson Capt Thabo Sibuyi says a neighbour, who wants to remain anonymous, told the police she heard gunshots at about 4am.

“She went outside at about 4.30am after the noise had died down and saw the deceased lying on the ground.
“She screamed for help and the other neighbours came out and called the police.
“The deceased was declared dead on the scene by paramedics,” he says.
Sibuyi further explains the deceased was found with six bullet wounds to the chest, two in the groin and one in the left knee.
“The motive of the murder is unknown to the police and no one has been arrested thus far.
“We call on anyone with information about the identity of the suspects to come forward,” he says.
