Benoni Lions Club donates books to Sizuzile Primay
“These books represent a winning nation for me because without books we cannot go very far. "I encourage my peers to start reading, writing and become involved.”
Tsakane – Members of Benoni Lions Club donated about 400 library books to Sizuzile Primary School.
The books came with book shelves and stands.
Acting principal Zola Nongogo says they established a relationship with the club after their visit last year and were asked to write down a list of things the school needed.

“We told them our learners since we do not have a library, we needed reading books,” says Nongogo.
Sizuzile Primary is one of the underprivileged schools in the area; the books will have a positive impact on the learners.
“They came at the right time, we truly needed those books and couldn’t afford them as our budget is limited.”
The acting principal further explained the learners will now have an opportunity to have access to reading material as this was previously not possible because the local library is situated far from them.
Grade Seven learner Nokuthula Radebe (13) says: “These books represent a winning nation for me because without books we cannot go very far.
“I encourage my peers to start reading, writing and become involved.”

“I am very happy and would like to say thank you to the Lions Club,” says Thandolwethu.
