Actor Bafana Manake dies

Bafana is known for his role in Isibaya as a bodyguard for the Zungu family.

KwaThema – The local sporting fraternity is reeling from the death of bodybuilder and actor Bafana Manake who died on Saturday.

It was believed that he was sick.

Manake was known for his role in Isibaya as a bodyguard for the Zungu family.

His acting career started in 2015 and he has been cast in local soapies like Zabalaza, Generations, Ashes to Ashes, It’s Complicated and Rhythm City.

He starred as a bodyguard on For Love and Broken Bones, and as a driver for Goven Mbeki in Mandela’s Gun.

He has played a big role in local sporting codes and was elected a member of the KwaThema Sports Confederation and also served as a member of the Region E Executive Committee.

He was the founder of Green Apple Gym in Highland Section in KwaThema.

Messages of condolences are pouring in on social media from friends and loved ones.

Details of his funeral are still to be confirmed by his family.
