Selcourt – Police are investigating cases of business robbery after Ackermans and Pep stores were robbed at the Selcourt Towers Complex at the same time on Saturday.
It is alleged six unknown men arrived in a white BMW X5 and rushed into the Ackermans store.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka says the armed men pointed firearms at the staff and ordered them into the back office.

“They took about R1 000 cash from the cash register and two cellphones and jewellery from customers inside the store.
“Around the same time, some of the men went into the Pep store, which is just next door to Ackermans.
“They also pointed firearms at the staff members and ordered them into the office and took an undisclosed amount of cash and a cellphone.

“We are appealing to any person who might have information on the robbery or suspects to contact the Springs SAPS on 011 811 6600 or Crime Stop on 0800 10111,” explains Manaka.
