Orlando Pirates Greater Springs Branch donates tissues to primary school
The branch aims to develop a youth division from surrounding areas.
KwaThema – Grade Seven learners from Sechaba Primary School received boxes of tissues from the Orlando Pirates Greater Springs Branch.
The branch is looking to work with young children as part of their youth development campaign.
Vuyiswa Mayoyo, welfare officer, says: “This is only the beginning, our biggest plan is to establish a relationship with primary schools within KwaThema.

We have already identified the next school we will be paying a visit to, but due to timing everything will roll out properly next year.”
The branch aims to develop a youth division from surrounding areas.
“The donation is about developing the community by doing more than just sport, we want to create a youth division to empower and uplift children from the township,” says assistant welfare officer Nomshado Buthelezi.
The branch has also pledged to donate security cameras to the school next year.
Public relations officer Tshepo Sechabela says: “We have identified that the school is in need of proper security measures, hence we have pledged to make a donation of security cameras to ensure the safety of learners during school hours; the cameras will also play a part in guarding the school premises.”

Thirteen-year-old Mpho Morare says the gesture is one of a kind and this act of kindness will assist them in saving money.
“We are very happy and excited, these tissues are going to be very helpful to us and we will be sure to use them wisely.
“We are going to save money because we won’t need to buy tissues anymore.”
