Mixed reactions from local shoppers: Black Friday crazy in Kwatsaduza
Mixed reactions about Black Friday from local shoppers.
Kwatsaduza –Shoppers all around woke early morning to catch the hottest deals in town for this year’s black Friday.
While the hype might have been there throughout the week, most Kwatsaduza shoppers were not as excited with deals from numerous known shops.
But for Nomusa Sebopela and Sinethamba Mbatha the experience was quite an awesome one.

They both bought a 54 inch television set and a sound system.
“We got here before 8am because we didn’t want to miss out on these great opportunities.
“They have some very great prices and I am happy with the deals. I got what I wanted and bought a bed on top of it. I think them having started the sale during the week was a great idea otherwise there would have been a stampede,” says Sebopela.

Disappointed shopper Lucia Kwakwari says last year’s Black Friday was much better compared to this year.
“Last year the difference in prices was there and we made some serious savings. Unfortunately, this year there’s like a difference of R1 or R2.
The prices haven’t changed much from the original pricing.
But I managed to get a few groceries,” says Kwakwari.
