Founder of the Masimong Foundation and co-organiser Sandi Teke explains that reading has an impact on the learners’ education.
“Today, we are honouring top learners who have dedicated themselves to learning and exploring beyond the classroom.
“Having a library within the schools premises makes their learning and discovering journey much better, and within reach it also contributes to the quality of work they produce academically.
“We have seen a huge improvement in their academic work,” says Teke.

The school participates in various reading competitions throughout the year and top readers are also rewarded.
Thirty-two learners received certificates and trophies for their hard work throughout the year.
