Campaign to collect Xmas clothes for orphans
“Through the years we have been able to achieve this wish, but the numbers continue to grow and we cannot turn away those who are need,” he explains.
Tsakane- The Orphan Organisation Trust has taken it upon themselves to put a smile on the faces of orphaned children in the area.
The centre from Tsakane is running a campaign collecting Christmas clothes for 178 orphaned children in the area.
To date the group has collected 155 outfits and calling on residents to help make this dream possible.

Centre founder, Scelo Mbonani, says he decided to start the initiative six years ago.
“Because I lost my parents at a very young age, I personally know the pain of feeling alone, especially during the festive season when people are with their families.
“Also, I identified that in a black community children receive new clothes as gifts on Christmas day and many children who are orphaned are often deprived of this opportunity.
“I decided to reach out to friends, family members and residents to donate an outfit for an orphaned child.

The group has to date exhausted all their networks and still have children who are on the list of beneficiaries.
“We are calling on anyone who is interested in brightening the life of an orphaned child’s Christmas to come forward and help,” he adds.
