School receives donations from church

Ukuthula Church in Zion donated 25 chairs at Vuyani Primary School on Sunday.

Tsakane – Ukuthula Church in Zion donated 25 chairs to Vuyani Primary School on Sunday.

The church has been using the school facilities for their meetings for the past 10 years.

Bishop Mike Madonsela says: “We noted that some of the chairs are old, others broken and therefore we decided to buy new chairs for them.

“This gesture is also to say thank you to the school for having allowed us to use their facility for more than 10 years.”

He adds that proper seating provides empowerment for learners.

“Having proper furniture in a classroom can change how learners view education and the way they approach it.

“A learner who is uncomfortable in a classroom becomes distracted and unproductive and can affect their studying period.”

Church members contributed through donations for the chairs, learners are urged to take good care of the newly donated chairs.

“We hope they take good care of the chairs and would like to wish them all the best with their studies for the year 2020.”
