School awards top performing learners

Top three learners were additional awarded with two brand new laptops for the top two achievers and a brand new tablet for position number three.

Duduza – Mom Sebone Secondary School honoured their top 10 performing learners from the class of 2019.

Learners were awarded with trophies, certificates and medals.

Laptops were donated by former learner and Bafana Bafana player Bongani Zungu.

The event took place at Church Hall on January 24.

Head of committee of matric results Zama Mashele says: “This was something we used to do quarterly as a means to motivate our learners to work hard, we therefore saw it fitting that we host this award ceremony to also wish them well for with their future endeavours.”

She adds that they have set a goal for themselves with the class of 2020.

“We plan to surpass the pass rate of 2019 when it comes to our matrics.

“We have already started with our 2020 strategy and we encouraging our learners to start working towards their desired goals now.

“And with the class of 2019 I just want them to know that the sky is the limit and nothing is impossible,” says Mashele.
