Men urged to do regular health check-ups

Kwa-Thema – CanSurvive, in conjunction with the Kwa-Thema Main Clinic, hosted a wellness day for men at the clinic on Saturday.

“The purpose of the event was to make it easier for men to do medical check-ups in privacy and encourage health awareness at the same time.

“Often, men do not see the importance of doing consultations and visiting local clinics.
“With the event, we wanted to promote the well-being of men,” he explained.
Those who attended were tested for, among other things, blood sugar levels, blood pressure, cholesterol, prostate cancer and HIV (optional).

The clinic partnered with local organisation to promote the well-being of men.

Those found to have a serious illness were given immediate attention.
The campaign will run on a monthly basis every third Saturday.
