Help donate wheelchair to Daveyton resident
“I would appreciate help from the community and it would make a difference since a wheelchair gives me a complete freedom of movement,” said Dlamini.
A 24-year-old Daveyton resident is pleading for the donation of a wheelchair.
Dlamini was born with cerebral palsy, a disorder that affects a person’s posture, balance, and ability to move.

“I was born disabled. I reside with my mother, aunts, and uncles. My dad abandoned me when I was 9-years-old, due to my disability,” said Dlamini.
Dlamini told the City Times that he has never been employed and his dream is to further his studies and be employed. Although he receives his pension, Dlamini says that it is not enough.
“I feel that I was never given chance to finish matric because I was judged due to my disorder. I still believe that I can make a change in my life, only if I’m given the opportunity.”
The LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex) community recently donated a wheelchair to Dlamini but he says that it is not his size. “I would appreciate help from the community and it would make a difference since a wheelchair gives me a complete freedom of movement,” said Dlamini.
