Church thankful for blessings of life

Daveyton – Church members of Back to God Daveyton held a thanksgiving ceremony and Sunday school day last Saturday.
This was to show appreciation for the gift of life from God and support and strength from the church members.
The Sunday school children received gifts as small tokens of appreciation from the church.
Church pastor Lizzy Pooe said all children need to be loved and shown appreciation at all times.
“Annually, we give them gifts for completing their studies in the church, and we hold a mini-concert where they perform in front of the church,” she said.

She added that since Covid-19 hit the country, people have been living in fear of losing their own lives and that of their loved ones.
“We felt the need to appreciate that we are still spared and given the opportunity to see another day.
“We also prayed for those who are infected and affected to have the strength to heal and rebuild their lives,” she said.
She added that she has faith that if we comply with the Covid-19 regulations, we will be able to conquer and live to see another day.
“We cannot afford to lose more people, businesses and work to this pandemic,” she concluded.
