Clean-up at Impumelolo Self Help Centre
“I am happy that everything is going accordingly. I hope in the future, some of the stakeholders will join in and assist with regards to the home,” he said.
Following an inspection at Impumelelo Self Help Centre by the Department of Health, Ward 74 councillor Thulani Simelane recently celebrated his birthday by cleaning up the home with a team.
“The health department was concerned about the tiles of the home not being clean, which can create a health hazard. As I am celebrating my birthday, I felt I would need people who will assist me in responding to the recommendations of the Department of Health,” said Simelane.
He said he requested a security company and community members to assist in making sure Impumelelo complies with the department.

“I am happy everything is going accordingly. I hope in the future, some of the stakeholders will join in and assist with regards to the home,” he said.
Simelane explained the house was donated to the disabled. There is not enough funding and he would appreciate it if sponsors come on board to assist with donations.
Security company supervisor Annah Lebotse said they are happy to assist the councillor to make sure the home is clean.
“As a company, we were more than happy to assist Impumelelo Help Care Centre. My team has made a great job with making sure everything is clean and in place,” said Lebotse.
