‘Every learner can be the best’
He is calling on parents to be actively involved in their children’s education and to enrol them for extra lessons.
Kwa-Thema – When Thabiso Mathibela was identified as a slow learner by his Grade Three teacher, he refused to accept it.
His parents worked hard to help him improve his grades through extra lessons at home.
The founder of Beyond Limit Tutoring passed matric with flying colours and is completing his education degree at Wits University.

He said he established his tutorial facility to help high school learners to improve their grades.
“I understand their pain because I was once that learner who was diagnosed informally by teachers because I struggled in class.
“What they failed to identify was that I only needed more support, unlike other learners.
“If it wasn’t for my parents, maybe I might have amounted to nothing if I believed what the teacher said,” he said.
The facility offers tutorial lessons in mathematics, accounting, English, history, geography, physical science and life sciences.

He added that since the inception of the programme, he has identified improvements in learners’ performances.
“The programme allows for small classes to enable us to give individual attention to each learner and identify their problematic areas.
“Our learners, over the years, have been crowned as top achievers,” he added.
He is calling on parents to be actively involved in their children’s education and to enrol them for extra lessons.
“Every learner can be the best. You are not what you are called but what you respond to,” he said.
