Hijacking voice notes cause panic

Tsakani – Tsakani police were out in numbers patrolling the streets in the area after a voice note was circulated about planned hijackings over the weekend.
Tsakani SAPS station commander Col Goodall Khumbulani Mbatha deployed police in numbers to monitor all activities around Tsakani to prevent any hijackings and other crimes.

During the patrols, five people were arrested for drunk driving, six illegal liquor outlets were closed and the owners were arrested for selling liquor without a licence, while 11 were arrested for various offences.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu said they were concerned about the safety of the residents.
“Through police visibility, we were able to keep residents safe, with no hijackings reported,” she added.
