Kwa-Thema – Virginity testing school Amatshitshi Nentsizwa Zempela opened a new branch in Kwa-Thema on Saturday.
This is their sixth branch in the country in its 19 years of existence.
Community members in Springs and Kwatsaduza are urged to enrol their children with the organisation, from as young as five years of age for both girls and boys.
Organisation manager Gladys Sangweni said such initiatives are beneficial to the community.

Reed dance and virginity testing school opens a new branch in Kwa-Thema.

“Through virginity testing, we aim to eradicate early pregnancy among teenagers and also teach them about respect, morals and discipline.
“We want our children to go to school without any disturbance and for them to have a strong support system where they can easily express themselves and be able to ask whatever questions they have,” said Sangweni.
Parents are also encouraged to join the organisation so they can be educated on the teachings at the school and how it benefits their children and the community at large.

Kwa-Thema branch manager Nothemba Mabuza said, “We are encouraging children to remain virgins but that’s not the only thing our organisation does. Sometimes children are afraid to speak out that they are being molested whether it be by their fathers, uncles or community members.
“It then becomes easy for us to identify such issues among other things. Also, the children get to make friends and learn in detail about our culture and history.”
The branch is situated at Ankara Street in Selcourt Estate.
