Kwa-Thema stimulation showered with love on Mandela Day

The centre was on the receiving end of donations and had its yard cleaned on Monday.

Kwa-Thema – In commemoration of Mandela Day the Springs branch of the South African Masters and Legends Football Association, (SAMLFA) visited the Kwa-Thema Stimulation Centre on Monday.
The organisation cleaned the centre’s premises.

Committee members of the South African Masters and Legends Football Association cleaned the stimulation centre.

Former Moroka Swallows player Simon Kwaito Mahlangu said Nelson Mandela wanted to add value to the world.
“We acknowledge the good work the centre does. It is not everyone who can do the kind of work they do. We want to urge them to keep doing the good work,” he said.
On the day Tolcon Group from the N17 Tollgate in Dalpark also contributed 50 toiletry packs and 10 cloth face masks to the centre.
Plaza manager Mapule Mabote said it was crucial to give back to those in need.

SAMLFA Ekurhuleni region chairperson Themba Bull Sibeko said giving back forms part of the organisation’s core functions.
“We are committed to working with the community towards development.
“This is a national call to all the South Africans to be the change they want to see in the world. We want to have 365 days of Mandela Day,” he explained.
He also called on other legends to take their rightful place in the community.

N17 Dalpark Plaza employees visited the Kwa-Thema Stimulation Centre on Monday.

“Those with the wisdom, skills and experience need to share that with the rest of the world.
“As with school, the local football have declined and slowly replaced by high levels of crime and substance abuse.
“It is because of this that we must work even harder,” added Sibeko.
Speaking on behalf of the centre Lindi Tladi said, “We are thankful for the love we are getting from the organisations. It shows that we have brothers and sisters who care deeply for us,” she said.
