Radebe family demands answers from Pholosong Hospital

Tsakani – When Prince Radebe was rushed to Pholosong Hospital in the early hours of Friday morning, little did his family know that it was the last time they would see him alive.
The 41-year-old’s body was found outside Mamelong Secondary School, a stone’s throw away from the hospital.
This is after he was rushed to the hospital five hours earlier after complaining of chest pains.
His grieving mother Annah Msiza (63) said just after midnight her son started complaining about not being able to breathe.
“His chest was closing up and was struggling to speak or walk. We immediately called an ambulance, which arrived around 13:00.
“We could see that he was in great pain but hoped that he would recover with the help of the doctors,” she explained.

The mother added that she was shocked when police officers knocked on her door around 08:00 to inform her about her son’s death.
“They explained that his body was found around 06:00 in the street next to Mamelong Secondary School.
“I could not understand how his body ended up there because he was supposed to be in hospital receiving medical attention,” she added.
The mother said she is demanding answers from the hospital and wants those responsible to be held accountable.
“For him to have collapsed and died not far from the hospital shows that he was still very sick and had to be admitted,” he added.
Pholosong Hospital spokesperson Thabisile Mkhwanazi said the patient was attended to by doctors at the hospital.
“After consultation, he was given medication to take home in a stable condition. We are still waiting for the postmortem results so we can establish the cause of death,” she added.
