Teenagers attacked, one killed in Kwa-Thema
Two teenagers drugged, assaulted and killed in Kwa-Thema.
Kwa-Thema – The 16-year-old Mpendulo Thombeni was found dead while on his way to a friend’s birthday celebration on Monday.
He was found lying in a pool of his own blood with the skin on his legs viciously cut open by a sharp object.
Another teenager was found in Langaville drugged and disorientated.
She alleged she was kidnapped by a group of gang members for being a member of a rival gang. She explained she was assaulted and injected with drugs and told to learn not to cross them.
Mpendulo’s grandmother, Lizzy Thombeni said she will never forget the state in which she found her grandson.
“The skin on his legs was cut open with a sharp object and his face was covered in blood.
“It is as if he was attacked by a vicious wild animal. I can only imagine the pain he was in before he succumbed to his injuries,” she explained.
Lizzy added her grandson left home to attend a friend’s birthday celebration.
“Around 9pm I demanded that he goes home where he stays with his father, but he managed to sneak out and went back to the party.
“It was as if his death was calling him. We were shocked when he didn’t return home and could not locate him,” she explained.
